Ok, cool, but how do I apply that to my email marketing.
Become a real person. Include a thumbnail image of you in the emails (usually at the bottom). Let them know there is a real person behind the emails they get.

Because it’s almost like falling in love with stories is part of our DNA.
Think about it. Our ancestors sat around campfires and told “stories.”
That’s how they passed down information on how to hunt, pick berries, plant crops, and build shelters.
Story telling is a critical part of our evolution and survival.
Think about it for just a moment.
Even the word history is literally ‘his story’.
To apply this to marketing, which is going to stick in peoples heads and be remembered?
A bunch of facts and figures about a product and how to use it?
Or, a story about Bob who used it this way and got these results and discovered this one really cool thing that no one knew before and made 7 times more money.
Bob of course.
So, be Bob.
Uncover ways to use storytelling in your emails that gets all of your main points across.
Tell stories that help them, that deliver value.
They will remember a whole lot more of the story than a sheet of facts and figures.
Stories also inspire and drive emotion. Inspired and emotional people take action and buy stuff… Your stuff.
Key #3: People Love Receiving And Admire Those Who Give Value
Who doesn’t like it when you go to your favorite restaurant, as an example, and the waiter smiles at you and gives you two extra egg rolls saying that you are a great customer?
People love that stuff. Those are the bonding moments in life where people become closer to each other because they thought of you, showed their acceptance of you and maybe even that they like you.
When you provide value to the people you serve on your list then they become endeared to you and begin to trust you and buy more from you.
A great marketer named Frank Kern said: “You are paid in direct proportion to the value you provide to your marketplace”.
Read that again and let it sink in.
The more value you provide to your market the more you will earn. It’s just that simple.
